He co-edited Requiems for the Departed, a collection of crime fiction based on Irish myths. His novella, The Point, was published by Pulp Press in October 2011 and won the 2012 Spinetingler Award. His debut novel, WEE ROCKETS, was published by Blasted Heath in 2012. He is currently working on a creative writing PhD at Queen's University Belfast

Yes. Although I'm not that much drawn to serial killer books, if it's not because the villain's demented, it still might draw me in.

I'd say there's a certain amount of mental illness attributed to the motive (I've actually read this in manuscript form) but it's mostly a revenge tale. I'm being vague on purpose so as not to steal any thunder. And I reckon Des Doherty will feature on the blog at some point in the near future. I'll let him try to sell the book to you.
Also, thank you for keeping the comment function alive on this aul blog. Good to know it still works!
