Newry Democrat covers Requiems for the Departed

Hopefully you'll be able to make out the text by clicking on the image. I don't have a scanner, so a pic from my mobile will have to do. The Newry/Down Democrat was the first paper to take an interest in my blog so it's only right that they get first dibs on this story.

It's a great article but I should point out one error -- I live in Dundrum, not Dromore. Lot of people seem to mix the two places up, so I'll forgive them. Besides, they were pretty generous, calling me a star and all that.

Enjoy.

That's great, Gerard! Yes, you have to zoom in a bit, but it's quite readable. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can get it over here in some form come June.

I only hope that Brendan Garner doesn't find out that you're trying to masquerade as him. Probably unwise to put that in print, in case he can read.

Ha! That's put a grin on my face this cold (and snowy!) April morning. Nice one, mate.

Gerard, you're beginning to scare me. I actually think you enjoy doing the publicity thing! What's next? The Late Late Show? Nice work getting it out there! Have to award you five out of five bullets.

It's not on amazon yet though that I can see, from my eyrie far from Belfast.

I'm sure if you were to contact the Newry Democrat they'd send you the pdfs of the spread for you to display on this site, they're very good like that.
